April’s 30-Day Challenge came at the perfect time for me. I have been trying to create a regular yoga practice over the past year and in doing so have noticed a decrease in the neck and hip pain I often experience. (As a writer, I sit at a computer for most of the day. There is nothing harder on the body.) The Challenge confirmed for me that, health-wise, yoga is one of the best things I can do at this stage of my life. As I approach 50, continuing to develop my flexibility and strength, as well as finding time in the day for calm, meditation, and reflection, is invaluable. The Challenge allowed me to experience different styles of yoga and to spend time with three caring, thoughtful teachers, all of whom taught me very much. The Challenge also helped move my practice to a new level. Finally moving into the full expression of the bridge pose was a happy day! -Adrienne Mason
I went into the 30-day yoga challenge with the expectation that i would work at sharpening and strengthening my practice; which definitely happened. what i didn’t expect was that i would also sharpen and strengthen my mind, off the mat. it was the perfect opportunity and method to dive deeper inwards, with the benefit of increased physical fitness. – Paul Jarvis
