Experience:
Began teaching ashtanga/power yoga in 2000 in the Tofino Community. Three winter seasons ( 2006-2010) teaching surf inspired hatha/vinyasa flow classes for Las Olas Surf Safaris in Sayulita Mexico. Recently teaching hatha yoga at the Wickininnish Inn. Seven years practicing massage and bodywork.
I enjoy teaching yoga because:
It is a beautiful process to witness the opening of one’s heart and to encourage the shedding of the layers that limit us from experiencing and sharing love unconditionally. I believe that we are all students and teachers on an endless journey of learning. Teaching yoga is one way to inspire others to live a more conscious, happy life. To seek their truth, discover their potential and work toward knowing peace and balance in an ever changing world of uncertainty, and to then share their wisdom with others.
My philosophy in yoga:
It brings one back to the light that shines within, their truest nature of self, connecting with the hearts intention. By focusing on and building awareness of this space, where all things are one, yoga enables individuals to develop a deep connection to themselves and to the world around them, and begin to create a better place to exist, to be of service to our family of living beings, and to our home on earth within a limitless universe. Together we have the power to create our world however we can imagine it.
Coastal Bliss means to me:
A haven where people gather to learn, to grow, to express and to celebrate the amazing life we have chosen. A place to just be, surrounded and supported by good people on a common path of health and peace in search of bliss.
