Pralaya Healing

Pralaya uses yoga, breath-work, meditation, communication and bodywork modalities to inspire your healing journey.  Together we will illuminate the body, mind and soul by exploring the hidden parts of the self with love and compassion so you can fulfill your highest potential. Please bring your whole self, a heart-felt intention, journal & pen, yoga mat, blanket & pillow and water.  Wear comfortable clothes so you can move freely and open with ease.  No experience in any of the modalities required.

Schedule Changes for January

We have a new schedule posted for January with some minor changes (listed below) so please check it out.

Abbie will be taking a break from the early mornings and so will not be offering the Wednesday Ashtanga class for the time being. But you can still catch her on Saturday mornings at 9am for Mixed Level Vinyasa Flow.

Kelsey will be teaching a Mixed Levels Vinyasa flow on the Wednesday mornings from 8am-9:30 for those of you who like to get your yoga in early in the day.

Nicole will be taking on the 5pm Level 1 class on Sunday evenings, and you can still find her teaching the 4:30 Community Class on Thursdays.

April and Natalie will be offering a new class for Absolute Beginners on Tuesdays at 4:30 pm. This class is ideal for those who are brand new to yoga, or who need a slower based class that focuses on the absolute basics. Natalie and April will be teaching on alternate weeks and may at times have an assistant teacher to help out.

Prenatal Yoga

 Pregnancy is a beautiful yet intense time in a woman’s life. The physical practice of yoga can help to relieve some of the aches and pains that woman commonly experience during this time. The meditative qualities associated with the yoga practice encourage a nurturing connection with both a woman’s changing body and her growing baby, as well as providing tools to assist her through labor and delivery. 

Join Yoga instructor April Woods in a six week pre-registered prenatal yoga course.

The corse will run each Sunday  from 7:00 – 8:15 pm, February 6th to March 13th, 2011

The cost is $96 for six classes

New Years Day Yoga and Polar Bear Swim

Start your new year with an  invigorating, flow  yoga class tought by Natalie, followed by a dip in our cleansing pacific ocean.

Mixed Levels Yoga 10:00 – 11:30  Coastal Bliss Yoga Studio

Polar Bear Swim 12:00-12:30  North Chesterman Beach

Warm up after your swim with complimentry tea and hot chocolate!

Please bring your own towels, and a cup for you beverage.

The yoga class and polar bear swim can be done separately or as a double  cleansing start to your new year.

Yoga Workshop Aug 22nd

Courageous Expansion:

Exploring the Yoga of Arm Balancing & Backbending

In this fun 2.5 hour workshop we will explore some of the key arm balances and backbending postures from the Anusara Yoga Syllabus such as Handstand, Pincha Mayurasana, Kappotasana and standing drop backs into Urdhva Danurasana, as well as some of the more advanced poses we can’t often get to in a led class.

This Level 2/3 workshop is ideal for anyone with a dedicated practice and a working knowledge of the basics who has a desire to learn more about how to become comfortable in these powerful and transformative postures.
